Thread: Questions on new AV-21 Landspeeder

I am trying to get as much information as possible about the new AV-21 Landspeeder, which is scheduled to be introduced with the Corellian Corvette mini-publish. From what I've gathered so far, it sounds as though a one use schematic for this vehicle may sometimes be a reward for completing the mission. The vehicle may also require rare loot drops to assemble.


If this is the case, I'm not sure how we as Artisans can best deal with this situation. Most of us would not have the combat skills to get the schematic or the loot drops ourselves. If we can only make one vehicle from the schematic, we will probably only be able to produce them for people who bring us everything we need. This makes a difficult situation for us, as I'm sure we will have people contacting us to make the vehicle for them. These people tend to expect you to drop whatever you are doing and whip up the vehicle. What do we charge for this service? My time is valuable, and while I don't like to overcharge, I don't see how I can make any money just charging 1K or 2K to produce what is sure to be a very expensive vehicle.


The other situation I can see developing, is that people will want us to buy the schematic and the loot for millions of credits. Then people will yell at us and call us greedy crafters if we try to make and sell the vehicle at even a modest profit.


And what about critical failures? In either case that I just mentioned, that is going to be a nightmare, with such an expensive item being destroyed.


I hope that these schematics will at least be like the crafting aprons, where I believe three items can be made from each schematic. That would keep them rare, but still allow us to make enough to make a profit.


Does anyone have any more information about these vehicles? Thanks!

If its too much trouble just don't make them.


It shouldn't be that way but que sera sera.


Charge what you think is fair. I wouldn't frown at paying 50-100k for a vehicle that nobody else has. Even if its just to assemble said vehicle from loot drops that I have collected. Although, as easy as it is to master Artisan I wouldn't frown at mastering Artisan just to make it myself (the second time, lol).


From what I've heard anyways the vehicle is not a schematic but a reward for completing the quest.

Well painting schematics only have 2 uses but from each use you can create a facotry schematic of 1000 so theoretically if you had enough of the same resource you could create 2k items.

But I really wanted to make them! Well, I guess I will just ask for whatever they think is fair, and hope they are asgenerous as you!



So far, the general game policy has been to make the loot in the form of schematics, so that crafters are not cut out of the loop. I hope that is the case here, but I guess we just won't know until next week.
