I am just stopping by to ask your opinon,
It seems my vech colors only last for about 6 uses, or that is to say after I call the vech 6 times it fades the color off.
With it fadding so fast I have no plans to ever buy another kit, do you as a class feel that the color fade is too fast, too slow, or just right.
Did I get a crappy kit??
Thanks

Waaayy too fast! The whole "colour your speeder" fad went right out of the window after about 3 days (once everyone had logged in to try out the kits and realised they were pretty much a waste of time)!
I sell the odd kit very rarely these days /sigh
I thought they were going to extend the time on these decays in the last release but it either didn't go in or I'm remembering that wrong

They should last about 20 calls of the vehicle unless devs have changed something (BTW this, inmyopinion ismuchtoo short a period. The colorshould last for2 weeks to a month).
Quality of the VCC can be determined by the number of uses (charges) per kit. The highest i've made/seen is9charges.

Not sure a nice bug or not, depends on point of view.
The customization kits color ALL vehicles in your datapad at the same time.
- nice if you are making "fleet" vehicles
- bad if you want different color vehicles in your garage.
Have to agree on 20ish uses, I have pulled out my X34 about 10+ times now and still no fading. I will keep track now with my Swoop.

one thing not to do is use the Shuttle hop restoration technique that everyone is so fond of. If you do do this, the vehicle will lose it's color almost immediately.
(though im not sure if they fixed the exploit or not.)

1. This method for cheap repairs has not been fixed.
2. It's not an exploit (per a red-name post, sorry forget who and when) - just something "they" don't care to fix at the moment.

Hey all,
A couple of notes:
1) The length of time customization 'sticks' is being doubled (I think) in publish 8 (along with Droids)
2) The autorepair bug is being fixed in Publish 8
This is what I hear. Don't blame me if it doesn't happen.
Take care

Only once has my paint not lasted for 20 calls, and that was when it disappeared on me right after I colored it. (hehe I didn't know invisible was an option in the paint kits until then.) Other than that, I haven't had a problem.
btw, how much is everyone selling these for nowadays? When it went live, artisans on Starsider were charging 1k per charge, but since not many people are using the kits anymore, I have no clue what they are selling for.
