Thread: Perplexing Critical Failure Rate

So I'm a master artisan, I have a 15.00 rating weapon crafting tool, in front of a 44.5 rating weapon crafting station. I have crafted 12 items,6Energy Distributers and 6 Power Conditioners.
The only reason I crafted 6 instead of 3 was that 3 of each critical failed.
How can the devs claim that critical failure rates are normal?

They claim that it's normal in the long run. If you were to keep crafting, the crit fail rate should drop to approx 5%.
Unhappily, you can have a run of bad luck and get a lot of crits in a row. Or none at all.
One thing I've found to help (and I don't know if this is just superstition) is to logout, quit, and relogin.
I think this reseeds the random number generator in the client.
