Hello all,

Just curious, but I was wondering if any of you pros out there have a method or tactic that you use to find your concentrations of resources quickly and accurately. Or do you just take off and start surveying?

Thanks..

Usually it's just take off and start surveying. With experience you'll start to get abetterfeel for what areas are "extractor friendly" so you'll waste less time following spawns needlessly.

If it doesn't say "By Kyyle" somebody else probably made it.

Also, when you run across harvester farms, waypoint them or make a note. Many times resources spawn in the same area over and over. Sometimes I don't have to move a harvester for weeks and weeks, just change the resource type. Even if you have a dead week in a spot, come back to it the next time the spawn shifts, and there is a good chance you will find something there.

I too have noticed 'Sweet' spots of resources however this is not always pratical if your after a different resource than what pops up after the shift. I usally also restrict my mining operations to one planet as I prefer to use my SWG time doing more fun things than chasing down resources, unless I become aware of a long awaited spawn. Check your survey device every day to become aware of any new swifts, thats when you want to plant your harvesters . There was nothing much more frustrating to me as a newb miner than collecting my resources a few days after placing harvesters only to find that I had less than 1000 units in the hopper. Having your mount/dismount swoop hot key and survey device keys close to each other helps too.

  1. Don't look close to NPC cities like Bestine and theed ect.....

  2. Try staring out in the wild, around know flat areas (60% of the time you will get a good spawn on flat areas)

  3. Know the planets you are surveying on like LOK and Tatooine have alot of flat areas.

  4. Follow the sweet spot... just keep following the WP's

  5. When ready to place a harvestor, make sure there are no NESTS in the area... critter nests or camps take up space... clear them out to open up more room for your harvestors...

that the fast and short of it

goota make this fast bc a i got a meeting soon....
