This is my sampling macro:

/pause 3;
/sample;
/pause 2;
/sit;
/pause 26;

OK, so I have done that and its up and running!
With the last pause being 26 seconds you achieve the fastest possible sampling rate. It can not be shorter.
Anyways... With my current quickness/stamina setup I can do this and it will regenerate between each sampling attempt. But my mind drains faster than it can regenerate. So, I either need to make sure I drain less per sample, or have a faster recovery... I need to tune the focus and willpower attributes!
Instead of going to an image designer a loot of times, going back and forth, I was wondering if any of you ever took the time to do this? Figure out a combination of quickness/stamina + focus/willpower that will let you use the macro above without having to increase the pause. Is there an equation for calculating such things (how much your mind drains per action performed if your stats are xx xx and so on)
Does this make any sense?

Yes it does make sense, but no I don't know of anyone that's ever taken the time to work out an equation like what you're looking for.
One solution would be to just devote all of your HAM points to the action and mind secondaries. Presumably the stats that you're customizing for this survey macro aren't the ones you want to keep long term anyway, so just go all the way and totally ignore all three health pools and the primary action and mind pools.
My advice however, would be to not waste your time and your money paying an image designer to migrate your stats. Run your macro and time how long it takes both your action and your mind to fully recharge and use that as your pause time. I've done it that way several times and it's never taken me more than 24 hours to grind the entire survey chain.
If you're really insistent that it must be the 26 seconds you could alsoget some cheap brandy, place in one of your toolbar slots, and run a second macro that has your character drink a shot of brandy every 45 minutes (or whatever the duration on your brandy happens to be).
