Thread: Master artisan crafting question

I've been a master artisan in game for a very long time and I still am unsure of this. When crafting master artisan components you get two bars effectivness and durability. As far I'm away durability in those components effects nothing. I was thinking of this because of Gurus quick fix thread and possibly asking them to remove the useless line.

In all actuality the effectiveness line is worthless 95% of the timeas well. The quality of components doesn't matter for weapons, armor, droids or almost anything else you can imagine. The only object where the quality of your components matters is crafting stations.
I know that many of the artisan forum veterans know this, but I like to put it out there from time to time because I still frequently get messages from master weaponsmiths asking me for"the best possible components you can make because these are for weapons." I actually had one get offended and cop an attitude with me because in his mind the "newb" artisan was trying to tell the great and powerful weaponsmith how to do his job. I had to politely inform him that I had done exhaustive testing with a master weaponsmith and a master smuggler to see if there was any effect what so ever from using crappy components versus outstanding ones and that our group of three had proven that weapons made with crappy components turned out exactly the same as weapons using outstanding components. Many of the weapons with low quality components actually turned out quite a bit better after twoof them got damage slices in the 28-33% range.
Side note: I've since gotten to know the weaponsmith mentioned here a little bit better. He was quite humbled to learn that the artisan he had called a "newb" had actually been playing 4 months longer than he had. 
He's actually a pretty good guy... but that didn't stop me from charging him a premium on the components for the newb comment.

It matters on crafting stations as well doesnt it? I thought i had read that was the way to get the 40 point stations.

Yes, that was the point of my post. Hehe... I guess maybe my point got a little lost in my story so I'll do a fast and easy recap:
The quality of master artisan components does not matter in weapons, droids, armor, food, or practically anything else.
The quality does matter for crafting stations.
