Lets say I have a friend who has a house, is it possible for him to let me place a vendor in his house? Or does he have to place a vendor and then transfer ownership to me?

Thanks,

Hallie Starshine

If you are capable of placing vendors, I believe all he has to do is give you admin access to the house and then you can place a vendor in it.

You have to create the vendor then give it to the house owner and have them place it. And make sure it is a terminal tyoe. The house owner is now carrying around a Rodian Vendor in his pack that he cannot place, says no permission and cannot destroy. Which seems so totally wrong. This has caused me extreme frustration. IF you have admin rights you should be able to at least place the vendor. Not to mention you cannot store items in a house with dropping them on the ground and then only if you are the owned. Architects can make chests, armoires, etc. They cannot be used for storage. Why is that?

So we can make vendors, but they must be placed inside a house where I have administrator permission. I thought I saw somebody's salesman standing in town - is this possible, and do the sell there or just direct to your house of business?

The key point is that you have to be the one that placed the house to be able to actually place the vendor. No idea why you'd see a player vendor in town unless you're referring to the "vendors" that show up on the overhead map and those are actually just the junk dealer npc's.
