O.k., either I'm a complete dunce who can't see something right in front of his eyes, or my mineral survey devices no longer list aluminum. Is there a bug in my character/server, or are other people seeing this too?Did they move or rename it?

Your planet is depleted. It's a sign of impending resource turn over. You should have some new stuff in the next day or so. If you can't wait, try another planet.

Is that what that means? I would have thought that when a resource is depleted you would still have the option to scan for it, but it would just come back "no resource present." My problem isn't being anable to locate a deposit of aluminum, but not even seeing the name listed in my mineral surveyor.

Yep - if the option is missing, you have exactly zero chance of locating it on your planet. If it's listed, it is still present, although surveying in a particular area may say "Resource not found" if you aren't near a deposit.

Not that is disturbing. SWG isn't even a month old an entire resourse such as aluminum has disappeared from an entire planet?! I was concerned about various types of a particular resourcegoing from 3-4 items down to only 1 in only a couple of days. It never occured to me that Sony would allow an entire resource to disappear from a planet in less than a month. I am just beginnnig to feel the pangs of discouragement with a game that I have been waiting foryears to play.
