Thread: Harvester Relocation
I recently started playing with Harvesters for the first time. I built a mineral harvester and a wind harvester. They both work great and I am getting a lot of resources without spending my time grubbing in the dirt.
I did try to move my wind harvester and here is how it went. First I had to pay $230 to catchup on maintenance. Then, to destroy the harvester and recover the deed, it asked me to pay $3000 maintenance. So, I paid the maintenance and got my deed back.
When I found a new location for the harvester and it was all running again, I checked the status to see what happened to my $3000 maintenance fees, hoping to find $3000 maintenance. Turns out it was at $0 and I had to pay even more credits to get things running again.
My question is 'What is the point?' I can understand catching up on maintenance to destroy it. Buy why the large charge to move it? I could easily just destroy the harvester and make a new one from scratch. The resources are east to get. But paying $3000 to recover a deed and then getting nothing for it does not make a whole lot of sense to me.
Anyone have any comments?

Doesn't seem like there's much use. There's the rare instance where you just loaded your harvester up, so you could neglect it for a few days, then find the resource gone and have to move it. Otherwise though, in all reality it seems like you can just let it run down and build a new one at that point.
I haven't placed the Medium Mineral Mine I bought yet, so it seems like in those instnaces it might be worth it to reclaim the deed. For personal harvesters though, I don't think it's worth it to reclaim the deed as it's usually easy to find a harvester for 1K if you look around alittle.
