In all my running around the galaxy, I've noticed nearly everyone employs wind generators for their power needs. However, sometimes around the mineral fields controlled by high level crafters (owners of factories and multiple shops) I've noticed solar generators.
Does this mean that solar power is the high-end method of generation and that its significantly better than wind?

lets say you have 50% wind and 50% solar
Wind = 3600 resources / day at an avergae cost of 1400 credits / day
Solar = 5760 /day at a cost of 1400 / day
so yes solar is better but there is also fusion or fission something like that but i have no idea how much it produces.

Reason i used 50% is i have a hard time finding over 50 for wind and also that past 3 days we had 3 resource shifts that killed my wind each friggin time
heh had to put that rant in there LOL

They are nice when trying to save lots. The medium and large harvesters also take a lot less power so it's not to useful to use wind to try and power them.

Give me my edit button!!
I meant the medium and large harvesters take a lot more power so wind generators are not that great of an idea to use to power them.

questions
How much money is reqiured for upkeep on the solor generator? (wind is 1440 a day)
How many lots do solor generators take?
