Hey all,

New guy here looking for help sampling flora. I've been playing for about a week and am a Surveyer level 2, but I can't sample flora. I can get minerals and Chems fine but not flora. I've gone on sight seeing tours of the planet(Corellia) to find nice lush areas but no go. What am I doing wrong? I sue the right kit and all. Any help you could provide would be great!!!!!

Make sure you are using the correct surveying tool for sampling flora. This should be a Flora Survey Tool.

Make sure you are using a flora survey tool. Make sure you have it set for the best range your skill will allow. You should be able to find something on the list that comes up, even if its in low quantity. There is a resource shift going on at the moment on most planets, but if its on the survey list for your device you should find at least some traces of some flora resources.
There is a possibility you made the flora tool with really bad materials. You might try to make a new one with better materials.

I'm using the right tool and it's the one my guy came with. Would making a new one help you think? I get high consentrations (sometimes in the 70s the % not the bad decade...outside the obvious) but still get a no go when I sample....bad luck?

If your server has shifted, there's been issues with not being able to sample new resources within the first 24 hours the resource is avaliable....

Might try an in-game petition thru the holocron system if you continue to have problems
