Thread: Sampling is bugged?!?!

This has never happened to me before. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm on Valcyn, Tatooine.

I can only sample for some resources. Others say that the resource density is to low. Considering the % was 60%, I find this extremely unlikely.

Anyone on Valcyn, near Bestine, Tatooine, have problems sampling Duranium Steel??

This also happens with most of the ores around there (approx. 30% density).

I haven't tried sampling all of the new elements yet, but I did try sampling class 3 and class 7 radioactives, but it wouldn't work. The class 7 was 81% as well. I just noticed a level 2 was just found, and I am now sampling that with no problem. *shrug*

Just today I decided to start up the Artisan tree and I ran into exactly the same problem. I came across a 94% deposit of the resource I was after and could not sample because it said the resource density was too low. I sent a bug report in-game but we'll see.

It makes little difference anyway. With all the artisan nerfs I've found it's essentially impossible to get started in the profession. You have to buy everything and even at 1 cred per unit of material or less you end up losing money. Nobody buys the newbie stuff so any credits you spend crafting will not be made back.

This is a bug that occurs during resource transition. When resources change over, you cannot sample the new resources for a period of about 4-5 hours, then it goes away.

I don't think it is a bug - For that little window of time after a new resource shows upyou just have to use a harvestor to get at it. After a few hours you can get it from sampling, but the harvestors are able to pull it out of the ground sooner.
