Started sampling again tonight, noticed something strange.

I was using twice the mind as i was stamina...

i wasnt aware that sampling used any mind at all?

anyways... it had the VERY sucky result of tripling my recover time because my stamina would be regenned in a jiff, but my mind takes forever and a day to top out at 1000...

I have been playing with artisan for a couple weeks now on a couple diff servers and it has always used mind ppol and action pool.

Hope this helps.

I've noticed another sampling bug the other day. I was sitting right on top of the highest concentration of aluminum I could find (about 76%), went to sample, and kept getting a message saying "resource density too low to get a sample".

I asked other artisans about this, and they couldn't understand why I couldn't get a sample either.

Anyone else had this problem?

This happens right after the resources shift. Its on the list that was submitted to the devlopers if I remember correctly. See the Correspondent's posts.

I noticed this too. It used to take a lot less mind than it did action. I had a Trandoshan Artisan and it would use almost 4 times a smuch action as it did mind. I re-rolled over the weekend to a Bothan Artisan and it drains my mind pool fast. My action pool is barely touched now when my mind is drained completely. I thought this was probably due to my change from Trando to Bothan.

You aren't wearing armor while you sample, are you?

Yes, somthing changed. I didn't have time to look into it last night, but when I got home from work my character had NO mind pool left. I noticed he couldn't keep up with the mind usage, but the action pool was full.

You guys are sure you're not wearing armor while sampling? Wearing armor will make your stats drain a LOT faster.

You might also want to look into stat migration on your secondary stats.

Secondly, you might want to look into harvestors if resources are that important to what you are planning with your character : )

Actually, this is a confirmed stealth-nerf to sampling, designed to blow-apart the efficiency of it.

I looked through my screenshots and noticed one that i took while sampling last week, and my stamina pool was drained but my mind was full.

NOW, my stamina pool is at about half and my mind pool is gone (even though my mind is stronger then my stamina) every time i sample.

If i sample 10 times (280 seconds) i require at minumum 560 seconds to rest to full HAM.

I think there might be a different Mind/Action cost depending on the type of resource you are sampling. I haven't paid to close attention to this as I wasn't sure if it was this or if it had been modified a few time by patch. Or, I was just seeing things after watching my character sample for an hour made me looney.

Whenever a new resource appears, there is a period of time it can't be sampled. I usually have to wait till the next day. Maybe some has clocked its time exactly.

There was something in the patch notes regarding changes relative to sampling of radioactives. Don't recall what (of the HAM) was getting hit.

Subjectively, I noticed the same. My guess is that it's another attempt to hammer on macro-sampling.

Well very few people macro sample radioactives.

Radioactives give you woudns when you sample. Sample long enough and you will be down to 1/1/1 I think on your hams witht he rest wounds.

I haven't tried this and it is only from info I read on the TC. I'm thinking they changed the rate at which oyu get wounds, because 3-4 minutes of sampling before was full black on the ham bars.
