Im pretty new but could someone explain Overall quality, Mallability and what ever else there is on Hides, Bone and meat. What are artisans looking for in quality. What is Average stuff. PLus what happend to the bone spawn on animals today i am only geting one bone per now. I read that they restored the spawn to it original state. One bone seems rediculous to me.

Also what animals bring the best hided and stuff and does the quality move around simular to ground resources.

I appologize ahead of time if there has been a post on this topic, but I havent really found anything. I was wondering if quality of minerals used on clamps and wuk's (for example) affects percentage of slice?

Everything I have seen here leans towards it doesnt, but I wanted to double check. Thanks in advance.

There so far hasn't been any proof presented so far that it does so save your good resources for something else.

Searched around a bit and couldn't find anything regarding this particular topic, so if this has been asked before, someone point me in the right direction.

I just mastered weaponsmith recently and I've done quite a bit of crafting of advanced sword cores and such when it hit me...All of my cores seem to max at 40 minimum/40 maximum damage, naturally, I was curious about this and started making weapons out of them and noticed that my weapons were consistent in their min/max values as well.

So far so good.

Once I had that part figured out, I started paying more attention to my experimentation attempts and noticed that sometimes my min/max damage would reach 40/40 before I actually finished using my experimentation points(due to great/amazing successes). This led me to realize that I probably don't need to "max" out an experimentation bar if all goes well...leaving me with experimentation points to put in other stats.

Now...my question is this. Where does the resource quality come into play? Does it work in a similar way to the "assembly" skill in that it helps in the success of creating an item?Does it affect the "maximum" possible base stats through experimentation?(i.e. a 500 SR metal on a sword might only yield a maximum base of 150 max damage, where a 1000 SR metal would yield a maximum base of 180 max damage). Does it affect the "starting" base stats prior to experimentation?(or are the starting base stats always the same?)

Or am I missing something else in the equation?

It effects your starting stats and post experimentation stats.......You will notice on the first screen after you hit assemble you will get percenatges for all the stats, I believe a 30% is a perfect pre-experimentation score and can be experminted to 100%. Now almost everything falls short of these, but these just give you an idea.

Most things are impossible to get 100% experimentation on due to resource quality caps......a whole different discussion there though.

You can do some simple stuff to see for yourself the effect of resource quality on experimentation.

If you use your good stuff, as was mentioned above, you will receive a better % post assembly and prior to experimentation. You will also notice you have very long experimentation bars.

If you make the same item with lesser quality stuff, you will notice immediately that you start at a lower % post assembly and you have a lot shorter length of bars to experiment with.

A single experimentation bar can max out before you use up your points and also before the bar has been filled. If it does, simply note the dmg level.. and on your next assembly stop there and spend the rest of your points on another stat.

So even tho skill tapes and research centers will give us more experimentation points, it doesn't mean our weapons will have more damage. They will, however, most likely be more durable or be more efficient.

Resource quality ultimately determines the max dmg you can achieve once you reach master.

Cool, thanks a bunch. Those were the responses I was expecting to hear based on my observations, but I'm the sort who needs confirmation.
