I was wondering how, if at all, the experimental quality of my General Crafting Tool will affect the outcome of items crafted with it. I'm sure it does....but is it significant enough to worry about?

Thanks

I made a new droid/weapon/gen crafting tool tonight with high quality components and experimented it up to 62% effectiveness. using high quality resources I get almost all "great successes" messages in my crafting with the occasional "amazing success".
not sure if its the tool or the quality resources I'm using though...
Can't hurt to invest some time and effort into making yourself a high quality crafting tool though. Go for it.

That is correct. Your Experimental Effectiveness decides your Use Modifier. This is an unseen value, but it effectively raises your crafting skill to a better level. I consistently make Complexity 18 items at a great success rate, and plan on upgrading my tools again now that I have a mine set up to get me enough of the right resource.

It IS true, the better your tools, the better your product.

Corlary to above...same goes with your survey tools. You get higher yield per sample with a better tool.
