Thread: What happened to Crafting XP?
it actually not a 50/50 thing. I cant remeber where I read this but it goes something like this. When you make the item you earn an amount of xp. then as some one uses the item you earn more xp based on the type of item it was. the numbers work out to something like 50% of the total earen from crafting for one time use item like food and power ups. 100-150% for I believe items like guns and armor. and 150-250% for items like structures(houses and harvesters) So really you earn xp twice for each item you make if you manage to get some one to use it.
Now my question for that is how fast do you earn the use based xp. Is it over the life of the item so if they toss it before it is used up you only get xp during the time its used or is it just during the first portion of the life so if I fire a gun 500 times the xp gain is all used up?
Jonaas, harvesters earn you very little GC XP. You earn TONS of Structure Crafting XP for the harvesters though. Something on order of 500 per. Open your skill window, and on the left you should see a list of types of XP you have. You can monitor any changes in there.

crafting tools always give u 60 gcp and just bout everything esle cept deeds give u fourty gcp
User XP is 150% for durable goods, (armor, clothes, guns), and I believe 50% for consumables - food, maybe powerups.
User XP for durables trickles in as the item is used. Everytime the item is used there's a chance of the uxp being rewarded until it's all been rewarded. User XP only works if someone else uses your item, not if you do. You won't see any message about receiving it, just watch your xp and you'll see it add some on from time to time.
