Today I stopped receiving crafting experience when I craft items! I searched high and low for any evidence of receiving anything but General Crafting Experience, but found I received nothing. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

On the topic of crafting XP, how has it changed? THe manual(print and online) says you don't get cxp for just making the item, only when people use it. But in the game you get it for just making items, while not, AFAIK, getting it for when people use your items. What's the deal? Bug or last minute change?

It is 50/50. You get 50% of what you would normally with just crafting the item and the other 50% comes in small sums until it adds up to equal the same amount. Or so I am told. I also heard that you get about 3 xp points everytime ur item is used. Who knows. Does it matter? It is better that we get xp for crafting an item then selling it and waiting for it to be used. I mean, that would flood the market with guns and such and it would be harder to sell any items.

it actually not a 50/50 thing. I cant remeber where I read this but it goes something like this. When you make the item you earn an amount of xp. then as some one uses the item you earn more xp based on the type of item it was. the numbers work out to something like 50% of the total earen from crafting for one time use item like food and power ups. 100-150% for I believe items like guns and armor. and 150-250% for items like structures(houses and harvesters) So really you earn xp twice for each item you make if you manage to get some one to use it.

Now my question for that is how fast do you earn the use based xp. Is it over the life of the item so if they toss it before it is used up you only get xp during the time its used or is it just during the first portion of the life so if I fire a gun 500 times the xp gain is all used up?

A similar thing happened to me, but with my stats. They would go up or down and being the dumb fella I am, I went with a hunting group to go hunting. Needless to say, I died within 2 seconds of fighting. But

Jonaas, harvesters earn you very little GC XP. You earn TONS of Structure Crafting XP for the harvesters though. Something on order of 500 per. Open your skill window, and on the left you should see a list of types of XP you have. You can monitor any changes in there.

Crafting XP is based on number or resources used with most items bring 2 XP/resource. Powwerups are giving 4 XP/resource.

User XP is 150% for durable goods, (armor, clothes, guns), and I believe 50% for consumables - food, maybe powerups.

User XP for durables trickles in as the item is used. Everytime the item is used there's a chance of the uxp being rewarded until it's all been rewarded. User XP only works if someone else uses your item, not if you do. You won't see any message about receiving it, just watch your xp and you'll see it add some on from time to time.

Is it normal to only get 40 general crafting XP when building a complexity 21 Harvestor? If it is normal... what's the point of having complexities if you get the same XP no matter the complexity?

Thats what I meant Schubacca, I remember reading that. Jonaas, complexity has nothing to do with how much XP you get, which like you, puzzles me on why we have it. I guess it just shows how hard it will be to make, heh. I remember someone telling me to make muzzles with a complexity lvl of 14 for 40 xp, but when I made a Weapon Crafting Tool thing, I get 65 xp and it's complexity is only 11. Really confusing isn't it.
