Thread: Malleability or Overall Quality Which is more important?

I am a Novice Ranger so I collect a lot of hides/bones. Sometimes I will have a stack of hides that has really high malleability but really low overall quality and vice versa. So here is my question: If you had to choose which of these numbers is more important, which one would it be?

Also are there some uses for these items where quality and malleability just isn't an issue at all?

It depends on what you're making. Look at the efficiency percentages in the stats of the template you're using. It will tell you what qualities influence that particular product.

The problem is, I am not an Artisan. I just want to know which ones I should sell and which ones I should keep for my own uses (I haven't noticed that resource quality affects the scout things I make).

Overall Quality is what I would sell by. Overall Quality is the one property that takes relevance in all types of crafting. Its usually x% Overall Quality and other properties.

You may not be an artisan, but if you planned on keeping some for yourself, I wouldthink that was because you planned on making something with it. If so, look at the schematic of what you're trying to make to determine.

He's basically asking what qualities artisan's are looking for. From what I can get from my scout friend, the qualities of hides that are used in traps and camps is not something that they really care about. So when my friend asked me about it is was so he could put the hides into two camps, those that will sell for some serious bank and those that are crap(and therefor appropriate to using in traps and camp).

Alisa, once you start collecting the 100's of hides(or even the 1k's) you should talk to armorsmiths. They'll generally pay nicely for good quality hides and they'll be able to tell you what they care about as far as qualities.

The best thing to do is become a supplier for an armorcrafter. He will tell you exactly what hes looking for nd yoiu cn pick up on what is important based on his info. I see that amll and overall quality are very important to armorcrafters in both hide and bone but you rarely find bone with both mall and overall high quality so they may want high overall quality and high Shock Resistance from the bone. I try to save anything that has at least 2 high stats that I have in large quantites.
