Please help a new artisan out. I really need help on what gives you the most crafting exp. I only have engineering 1 and thatr is only because i got it when camps and traps counted for basic crafting exp instead of survival exp.

either that or make bone chest armor as soon as you can. it takes bone, hides and metal, but you can get master in a day or so if you have the resources. its around 700xp if I remeber rightper chest plate.

I did it practicing with wind generators. I think you get a little more xp from them compared to the other extractors. In practice mode you get a 5% xp bonus.

As far as I can see, you don't get any extra XP for expeirmenting, so if you're just grind-practicing, don't bother with this, as it takes a lot longer to do.

If you want to sell them on the bazaar though, it probably pays to experiement.

Buy bones and hide in bulk from the bazaar and make bone armor. Chest plates give the most experience, but the others give alot too. Plus, you can almost always sell the bone armor for a some credits. I didn't have one piece of bone armor that I made go unsold, so you can make money while grinding!

I ran artisan missions until I hit Eng III and then started grinding harvesters. Missions are not the best way to go, but they net decent crafting XP and you make some good money at the same time. Good luck.

best advice I can give you is this. Look over your craftable chematics and see how much resources they need. as a rule you get twice the xp per resource used, and an additional 5% when you select pratice mode.

Also check for items that require as few different resource types as possible. If you are at box 1 then I would maybe suggest wood staffs as they only uses wood. Then as you climb the tree you will pick up more things you can make.

I grinded my way up the tree making heavy axes at first.

It takes buttloads of resources, but you can survey as you grind.

Also get more crafting tools on your hotkey bar. that way you dont have to wait for one to complete before you start the next one.

With maybe 5 tools and enough resources you would be able to make the 4th box in a day.

If you are looking to make items to both get xp and to sell. Then look at the bazaar and see whats being sold there and at what price. check on what you can make and place it on the bazaar. Remember though. it cost 20 creds per post on thebazaar and you are stuck to only 25 posts.

Good luck on your progress.

Seriously, I don't know why people recommend that you make bone armor chest plates. Make HARVESTERS!

1.Bone armor chest platesonly give you 350 XP -- harvesters give you 425 XP.

2.Chest platestake a long time to makeandyou also have to make 2 different sub-components.

3. The resources to make harvesters are easier and cheaper to obtain than the resources for chest plates.

4. People rarely buy bone armor. When they do, it is below cost.

5.People rarely buy personal harvesters, but... as an artisan, you will use every single harvester you make.
