Iam on FarStar,I am a 4-0-0-4 artisanand i have just earned enough general crafting xp (33000)where i can choose to go for novice architect, novice droid engineer, novice weaponsmith or novice armoursmith.

I would like to know whichwould be the best tochoose, I have 8 harvesters and 2 wind generators running. To pay the maintenace costs for these i am selling a few resources and doing artisan missions.

What I would like to know is which profession gives me the ability to makequick moneyso i can concentrate on harvesting and crafting rather than spending all my time scraping together enough cash each day to keep my harvesters and generators working. I am thinking that the best one would be architect as i could make better harvesters and therefore have more resources to sell, i could also have a little shop of my own and (if i get business 3)a vendor to seel them on.

Basically, what are your thoughts? Which to choose? How did you make your money when you were at my level?

Thanks in advance.

Pretty much any of those professions will net you some serious cash, with the exception of Droid Engineer(thats me, go figure lol) Droids arent in as high demand as weapons, armor, or structures. Weapons are probably in the highest demand, people seem to buy more of those than anything. Weaponsmith might not be a bad choice. Architect is also good, I plan on picking up some architect skills myself to create factories and mining installations. Good luck.

I know eventually all of them will pay handsomely but i what i really want to know is which will give the quickest return. For exmaple, if i go for weaponsmith will ihave togrind for weeks to be able to craft weapons that players want and will pay for.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks again

Three pieces of advice i can offer while grinding to MWS are:

1) Try to find someone grinnding through thesmuggler tree and make a deal to sell them crates of cdef weapons at a decent price, i sold them for 2500 a crate to two people i hooked up with.

2) When you are capable, maked dl44's and metal dl44's. Put them on bazaar for 3k each, they sold like wild for me.

3) When you are capable, make Weapon Upgrade Kit's using the worse resources you have and sell them to Smugglers for quick cash. Again i sold crates of 25 for 2500 credits.

Hope these help

There is no elite profession giving instant gratification.

To make products people want you will need at LEAST to max your technique so the product at your tech levels can be experimented to something resembling what people expect.

No matter what path you choose, be prepared for questions about "the best". No matter what you can make, the majority of the customers who contact you personally will almost invariably ask for master level items.

You can make perfectly usable stuff before being a master, but there is a limited market for those.

since you're on a new server, i'd go for architect first off. you'll be able to make better harvesters which will help you in any other crafting profession, and you'll also be able to sell those, and houses to all the folks that will need them (a lot of people).

architect isn't terribly difficult to master either, and doesn't require as much specific resource hunting, like weaponsmith and armorsmith do, although in a few months, those professions will be earning MUCH more money than architect, if thats your thing.

there's no reason you can't master two (or even three) of the artisan professions, but i'd definitely go for architect first

Well, this wasn't mentioned and it may be moot, but I think you have to get 620 apprenciseship xp in order to get to the Master Level. That's what I'm trying to do now.

if you are looking to just sell resources, do that and you'll make money... i'd still go architect novice level you get the ability to make small houses (player cities just went live, there is a demand for them)...

make some larger harvestors to have enough resources to keep your crafting needs set and sell the excess material...

or dump the 2 power harvestors and buy power from the bazzar, its goes for like 1-3cpu, but the new resources you bring in will more than cover that cost...

you will also be able to make crafting stations and tools (they sell well)...

thats the quick money, an long term investment would be weaponsmith, or armorsmith now that decay on DB is in effect...

if you want a vendor i'd sugest getting merchant also, the basic level is a money sink (i forget the maint a day at business III)

I can just see a "Wait for the Combat Revamp" and "Wait for the Smuggler Revamp" quote all rolled into one.

Armorsmiths don't get anything that is high demand till master, and for that matter neither do most of the elite crafting classes. Weaponsmith gives you probably the quickest, but is rahter resouces heavy.
