Hi all

Tried my first crafting session with macros last night, very simple, just making some Stimp B's and the components to go with them. It was the standard /ui action toolBar05 bla .. bla .. bla ... /createPrototype ....

anyway it seems to work as it made a few items.

Theproblems I have are:

  • I get no visual feedback when crafting.

  • There is no data on the schematic in the crafting station where I input resources, i.e it tells me nothing about experimental effectivness in the lower right corner..

  • I can not see the crafting station producing anything ..

  • I get no confermiation of a critical fail .. It just tells me twice that the crafting session has finished (is this a critical fail?) and no item appears

  • and it does not tell me to wait while it is being made .. it just pops up .......... well somtimes as what I presume to be a critical fail happens a lot (geting the "the crafting session has finishe twice message) about 50% of the time.

  • I also appear to be getting no Xp (and yes I re-logged in twice)

So is this normal? or is it a problem with patch 8 as I have seen a few people complaining about the high fail rate and no Xp this morning.

Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure about the most of your questions, because I haven't run a crafting macro since Publish 8 went live, but to answer "I get no visual feedback when crafting." It has always been this way with crafting macros if you use the /nextcraftingstage command. The game registers you going to the next crafting stage but you get no visual confirmation of this. I was never able to find out why it's this way, I just know that it's been like this for as long as I can remember.

Oops forgot to add something (sucks not having an edit button yet). If you're crafting products that you actually want to use (in this case, Stim-B's) you should just scrap that macro altogether. Because crafting macros yield no visual confirmation of the stage changes, you won't be able to experiment on any of your products. Therefore you should really just do it by hand if you plan on actually using these stims.
