I'd like this to happen, but it simply won't. Why? Because of technical reasons. From what I read on a dev's post the other day it's impossible because of the limitations of the server/engine to increase the survey range any further. I would have bookmarked the link, but since I saw a few threads on it I figured you guys hadn't got the message yet. I'll try to hunt the post down.

The thread was in the GCW forum of all places. You may as well drop it from your top 5 issues.

The devs are not being honest here I'm afraid. In beta the survey ran was farther out. The range was reduced due to performance reason in beta. Since SWG still has many serious performance problems that are prevent key features from being enabled, battleafield for example. The devs seem to be pretty unwilling to add to their performance problems at the moment and as such are jsut giving no answers in a way that they hope will forestall the question being asked again. 8
