Thread: Vehicle Repair Kits?..........a GOOD idea?

well its come to my mind that keeping a vehicle running costs more than it does to buy a new one, but not EVERYONE has the money to do so, so i was thinking, we have droid repair kits now, what about ones for Vehicles?...a good idea?..or a really bad one?
If we could figure out a way, perhaps the devs may go for it non?..anyways, i'll leave this to your thoughts ^_^

It sounds like a great idea but I think the devs want a money sink. There's too much money circulating right now.

yea well...theres too much money in SOE's bank account...and its OURS!!!!
anyways...i was just thinking, it costs 25K for a bike, yet it can cost up to 40K to repair the damn things most of the time...when you find a garage

A money sink? No. If you use a garage the money poofs, it's gone from the galaxy. If they buy a repair kit from you, then the money is still in the economy. It will be in your account, but you'll eventually spend it and then it will be right back in circulation.
That said, I would like to see artisans able to make repair kits.

yea we have armor and weapom repair kitswhy not vehicle repair kits
if we can only find a way to get a money sink without having to overcharge for stuff like this
i just sunk over 4000 into repairing my swoop ( thanks De-ath i will have to find some way to pay you beck for the free, if damaged, bike).
this worst thing is a am a noob and repairing my bike took nearly everything i earned in one day.

As a Master Artisan I'm not too big on this idea, and even if vehicle repair kits were introduced they should function exactly like others with a gradual deterioration of the vehicle's max condition. First of all I was playing this game months before vehicles game out, they are a luxury not a necessity, and if you can't afford to repair it becuase you're a "noob",(a) don't use it so much,(b) get a landspeeder it's much more sturdy than the bike.Luxury not necessity.I have to repair my vehicle maybe once a week if that, becuase I only use it for long trips, unless it's 2k+ away I foot it

Gando, i am also a MA, but i'd love to see the repair kits in game, it would make it easier if your bike/speeder was beaten to hell in the feild, pull the kit, get the speeder/bike in working order then continue on your trip, instead we are only able to repair them at garages, which lets face it, can cost three to four times as much as buying a new bike.
