And to the person that said...

They tell you nothing you couldn't find out on SWG craft.com, I say not totally true.

SWGcraft is supplied its info by players, and isn't always up to date,(by a margin of only hours granted)

But this will save you from tabbing out, and goin to SWGcraft

and it will help SWG craft be that much more accurate and quicker imho.

I would/will try one.

ie. I have flown to Talus using SWGcrafts information and gotten there to find things shifted out. So the Info was only hours wrong, but wrong none the less.

Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've
seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me
believe there's one all-powerful force controlling everything. There's
no mystical energy field that controls my destiny.

I also think they're handy for checking whether a resource has shifted out or not. I found a DE selling them for 25k per crate of 5, with 11 uses per droid. That comes out to 455 credits per use, cheaper than any interplanetary shuttle. If I don't need to stock up on the harvested resources, I can just send one off, putter around doing other stuff, then 45m later find out if I have to go pull up my harvesters.

The lag for swgcraft's datais especially bad for flora on adventure planets, so the survey droid works even better on those.

Although, I would like to see the option to get back resource stats if you have reached some level in the surveying branch.

Exactly. I often have harvesters on Yavin or Endor and traveling just to check if a resource has shifted is expensive.

And that in itself would make them 100% worth it instead of just a convience. I mean really send them out wait 1 hour for results or planet hop spend a few more credits and get the same answer for all planets in an hour (with good shuttle timeing).

well i have one...

what's the point!? The only benefit they serve is for those that are looking for a certain type of resource. Yes this is better then hopping to all planets but with the costs of the droids and the survey tools plus the time it takes for them to return you are almost in teh same boat as before.

I was hoping the new droids would be able to scan a planet tell you its current reources and if you found something that piqued your interest you could send a 2nd droid or whatever to determine that resources curent stats.

If nasa can do it on Mars surely the devs can program a simple game to allow us that benefit...

use them to track resources shifting *out* so you don't have to bother running to talus to move your moisture vaporators until you really need to.

I'm with Deren on this one...pretty useless IMO unless they can sample.

Plus (being an armorsmith), I still have to planet hop to check organics anyway.

I will never use one unless it gives hints where to look for the resource and brings back a single unit sample or something like that. SWGcraft.com doesn't take up a droid slot in my datapad

Hm it put my smiley in the wrong place
