Thread: Question about harvestors!

I recently started playing again after a few months off and I am having some problems with my harvestors. I am not even a novice artisan, so is that why I can't seem to add energy to my harvestors? I used to be able to handle them all just fine, but for some reason the energy I try putting in won't work. I am at work and can't check to see what kind of energy it was, but is there a certain type of energy you have to use now? Any help would be great.

Make sure you are using the correct energy. Not all resources listed under "energy" can be used to powser harvesters. It can ONLY be wind or solar energy (and maybe one other, but I stick to wind/solar to avoid confusion) none of the radioactives or other classes will work.

Thanks a lot. I think I was using some radioactive energy for them. That would explain the problem. I am just curious why you would be able to use radioactive energy though. Energy is energy...

Radioactive works just fine. Wind, solar (why would any one use this one though?), and radioactive are the three types for harvestors and factories. Some items listed as energy, reactive gas for instance, on the bazaar don't work for powering harvestors. Radioactive is the best method, if you have a fusion power generator, due to the power increase it gives.

Actually as someone said the radioactives work just fine. In fact they work better than fine 1 unit of class 7 radioactive can yield 1.9 units of power. A fusion reactor costs the same to run as wind and solar but is ber 14 max rather than 9. oncentrations of 70% or higer are easy to find. This tends to make fusion MUCH more economical. For info the PE determines the units of power available PE 500= 1:1 PE 1000 = 2:1.

Radioactives do work I use them all the time as a matter of fact they are better then wind or solar.

Wind and solar give 1:1 for power but radioactives (on avg) give 1.5:1 for power.

Only problem with radioactives they can shift off planet for a few days or weeks.

On starsider and radioactives shifted off tatooine so my fusion generators are on naboo.

Note solid petrochemical fuel or liquid petrochemical fuel is not a power resource, only wind, solar or radioactives.

Anyone else happen to notice Tidalenergy as a power-type when getting energy from the Blue Frogs on TC2-Ahazi and TC2-Bria?

Apparently those are usable as well.... Ijust have no clue where it comes from.
