Items with the most resources give the most xp. Roughly 1 resource = 2 xp. At the Engineering 1-4 levels, nothing is better than what you are doing for xp per item. On the other hand, some people prefer items that give less xp, but require all of the same resource.

So you only have to have one type of resource and spend less time doing surveys/shopping for materials.

I mistakenly thought it was tied to item complexity, wasted a lot of time before I discovered this.

Well, just find what you can make that requires the most resources. I assume you don't mean you're only at Novice Artisan, because they can't make combat staves and war axes.

Try making muzzles until you can make any sort of bone armor. Since resources don't matter in this case, bone armor would be the item to craft for the most xp.

Can someone please tell me what items in the Novice Artisan skill treegive the highest general crafting XP?

Resources are not an issue, I just want to know what itemsgive the best XP. I know the combat staff andWar Ax give 80xp, anything higher then that?Thanks.
