Thread: Please Help, can't figure out how to become a Weapon/droid smith
Okay, I reached 1000 EXP and my first row of skills is complete and green, however everytime i craft I don't get any more exp it just stays at 1000. I want to become a weapons/droid crafter so do i have to find a weapon crafter trainer? How do I get more EXP and select which type of Artisan profession I want?
Thx in adv.

Your first row of what profession is green? All you are telling us is that some profession that you have seems to have all the first row of skill blocks attained. Can you be a LITTLE more specific?
Here are some things I can tell you based on what you are saying that MAY help you.
There is an XP cap that ishalf way to the levelboyond your next highest skill. For example. If you are a Novice Artisan and trying to reach Intermediate Engineering (That would be the first block of Engineering) and the XP requirement is 500,you cannot attain more than1000 General Crafint XP. (General Crafting being the XP that is used to increase those skills). Once you get TRAINED in that block, you will then be able to start earning XP again. I beleive the next block is 1000XP. Your new XP cap would be again... half way to the level boyond what you are going for. Which would be 3500 (1000XP to reach Level II plus half way to Level III which is 3000XP is 1500XP. 1500XP+1000XP=3500XP).
The little bars in every block is an XP guage that fills as you gain XP. You can also see the actual XP in the window to the left. Once you get enough XP to reach that block. You need to get trained. XP is only expereince. Now you have to find someone who can show you how to make use of that XP. You have to be trained in that skill. Players can train you and NPCs can train you. NPC Trianers (they are called) will charge you 1000cr per level of the skill. Players normally train for tips. A good rule of thumb for tipping is 10-20% of the cost an NPC would charge is what is considered a good tip.
All this is covered in the manual and tutorial. I hope reading it here is easier for you.
