Thread: Resource Quality is it all the same?
Lets say on the west side of the city I find resource A, and XX% concentraion, it has YYY overall quality.
If I go elsewhere on the same planet - say east side of the city, and find resource A at XX% concentraion, will it be YYY overall quality (or insert any other stat for overall qualtiy) ?
If I go to a different planet, find resource A again at XX% concentraion, will it have YYY quality as well?
What about when the resources shift? When I relocate resource A again at XX% concentraion, will it have YYY quality again or will it have a new ZZZ qualtiy?
Does the % concentraion have any affect on the stats of the material sampled?

If you examine a resource. You will find that it has statistics and an overall quality. Certain statistics will lend themselves better to specific products or components. Overall quality also determines the quality of the item you can produce.
Inrganic:Metal:Steel:Titnanium Steel: Xerium (Where Xerium is the name of the metal) is the same quality as Xerium no matter where you dig it up or how high the density of the material is. Xerium is Xerium. Now.. you can find other metals. You can find different types of steel, and different types of Titanium Steel. They will ALL have different names, and thus different stats. In other words, if it stacks... it is all the same. If it does not stack, it isdifferent.
I hope that answers your question.
And resources don't "shift" -- they die out, go extinct, and are never seen driving around the vicinity again. You won't ever find resource X anywhere in the galaxy again.
OKay - so once I find a good % concentraion of resource X, there is no point in looking for any other source of resource X.
Resource X will have the same stats throughout the galaxy, no matter what planet or where on that planet.
