Thread: a question about vendors and permissions

i set up a vendor in my house today, and noticed that i'm the only person that can list items there. if a friend tries to list an item, it comes up as a sale to me, not to the general public.

it seems a little odd that you can set permissions for houses, structures, harvesters, and more, but not vendors. is there a way around this? do you get the ability to grant others permissions to list later on?

my friends and i plan on setting up a merchant association eventually, and we'd pretty much need for everyone to have the ability to list items there. will this be possible?

I encountered the same issue. Gave someone rights to the vendor(from the house list), but he noticed nothing different that he could do. I'm guessing it's just bugged. I would love to allow others to sale at my house without having to buy their stuff and mark it up.

two additional questions: i set up a crafting station in my house.

1. when i use it, it seems that i have fewer experimentation options. why?

2. when my friend (who has entry privs) crafts, he gets no expermintation option. how can i change this?

again, we're planning on starting an artisan association. how can we do that if only the creator of the crafting station gets to benefit from it?

on another forum, someone mentioned that giving people vendor permission in your house just gives them the permission to set their own vendor. is this true? if so, that completely kills the point of a merchant guild. why bother starting an artisan association if every crafter in the guild needs their own vendor?

does anyone who was in a PA during beta know if PA-members can have access to each other's vendors and crafting stations?
