Survey tools are nice because they only require 1 type of resource, so you can plonk yourself on a patch of high yield metal and craft away.

barrels give 40 also, as do all weapon powerups. complexity seems to have no effect.

I met a person ingame the same day that i started and as of last night (before i got to tailor) he had made master artisan by basicly grinding powerups, while i was at level 4 in eng, dom and survey by making bone armor and other sellable items. the key is that i also had pistol3, ranged2, and hunting3, plus i was 3/4 of the way to tailor (about 14k). this means overall that i had much more xp than him.

now i cant say for sure who has played the most but we seemed to always be on at the same time. It does seem though, that my method of making sellable items (and selling them of course) yealds more XP (through UXP) than the grinding of low level components.

Of course do what you like, on other thing id like to add is that my friend in game also had to spend time on running missions to pay for hit training, whereas i am currently sitting on 50k for my sells. (my total gain is much higher, but i buy ALOT of hides.)

at engineering 2-4 or domestic arts?

heh for domestic arts there are things at complexity of 9 or so in the whole clothes stuff...try and get a clothing crafter and then hit up a public crafting station...do experiementing and that should get you plenty...it got me up to 4...still trying to figure out what to craft at 4...backpacks seem to work quite well though they do comsume quite a bit of resources...but most stuff that gives xp is gonna take a bit anyways...best bet it to go survey for about a grand of each...then just get to crafting heh...then go back and do it again...for me it helped cause i was in the cantina for a while crafting and chatting it up with some cool entertainers and of course people that came in...you don't get the extra bonuses of experimenting but none the less still good...anyways hope this helped a bit

Hi,

Make Muzzles (powerups) complexity 14 gives you 40 exp / unit, they are best to make and cheap.

If i'm wrong let me know

Good luck!
