Hey all,

I have some questions on experimentation. I know that it can only be done by the more specialized tool at the crafting terminal. I get the experimentation screen and allot my experimentation points, I just have some questions...

How do I "keep my gains"? I usually get some sort of success but every 4th experiment or so i get a failure and I am back at 0 percent. Is there a way to save a successful experiment and build from there next time so that you can move towards that "perfect" item?

Is there any point to experimenting with components that go into a larger item?

Any other tips for making tricked out items?

Thanks in advance,

Experimentation only works on that item, not all items afterwards. If you want to keep the benefits, you have to create a schematic instead of a prototype and take it to a factory for mass production.

Experimenting on components is quite useful. The benefits carry on into the final product.

Don't try to experiment on more than one property at a time. Allocate points in one area, run the experiment, and then allocate points and rerun. Repeat until the item is maxed out, or you've used up your skill points.

For the best items, use resources that are high in the critical stats listed on the schematic. (i.e. conductivity for most blaster parts). Label your components with something meaningful to help keep them straight in the final component. (i.e. 5/10/-.5 blaster handler)
