Only one week of playing and im already bored of this game. I was pretty excited for the game, too bad it ended up to be a disapointment. I got myself up to Droid Engineer and that was it, i couldn't take the massive boring grinding. It seems theres no goals in the game, all u do is sample and craft, sample and craft etc. I am almost ready to pack the game and get my refund.

When u buy a house, do u only live in 1 room?

Theres a lot more to this game than crafting 24/7. Craft urself a gun and go explore... Now many cities did u visit? How many planets did u visit? Did you join a faction and fight for it? How many professions did you try out?

I'll agree that the game is not for anyone. If you need a precise goal and someone to take ur hand to gudie you to it, then this game is not for u.

It does seem a bit boring right now but im giving it 6 months or so. I really think when transportation is in place and the player towns take off it will be a totaly different game.

Heres an Idea i had.

Have high end crafters be able to sell to a faction in large volumes. Say 100 DL20s to the Rebels, This will create a steady income(which I think will be needed as the game levels off) and can create the economy from the top down. Crafters can afford to pay more for supplys and such from the other classes. You can also incorporate the smuglers and bounty hunters into this. Say transporting the rifles to a Rebel incampment inside Imperial teritory.

Just an Idea would make things more in line will the story line.

I think you tried to focus too much on one particular thing and got bored. Frankly, you aren't supposed to sit around sampling then crafting all day with nothing inbetween, BECAUSE ITS BORING. Like someone said, try doing other things while your harvestors work. If you really want to be a dedicated crafter, you'll just be running around all day feeding power to harvestors and standing at the crafting station pressing buttons over and over. Don't do that to yourself! Of course its boring. Its better than crafting in other games but its still boring. Pick up a second profession and do that some more

I am playing a crafter and I am working on DE. But at the same time I Picked up scout and Marksmen. I have been clean across Talos and have developed keen hatred of paralope and kima! Needless to say I do not enjoy setting around and "Just sampling and crafting".

Master DE is my long term goal but I am having a blast with the other things that I am doing. Trust me get away from the crafting station, pick up your rifle and get out there. Its a tons of fun.

Aye ... you really need to diversify a bit.

I am going with Dancer / Tailor route. Love the socializing and would like to specialize in clothes that appeal to other dancers.

That will keep me happy playing for some time ... at least till the Space Expansion

I am an artisan, with some scout and Int Marksman skills. I decided to take a trip to Dathomir when all the resource craziness was happening. Well, as soon as I left the outpost I landed at, I got lost...because it wasn't on the map, and I didn't know that until I had walked out into the jungle, and run from all the killer beasts. Anyway, I had to trek across the planet to the other remote outpost. I must admit, it was great. I stood on mountain peaks and watched herds of enormous beasts run by below. I ran into another herd while in the jungle...they left me alone, probably because I was too small. But, it was a great adventure, and well worth the time. Rainstorms, sunsets, views that were incredible. It was a great break from crafting, just so long as I avoided getting killed.

There are plenty of options for a crafter, even if you are only a crafter (yes, I do break my crafting up a LITTLE with Pistol skills, but this is more for self protection than boredome. I also like to keep the vermin spawns away from my shop. Looks better that way.).

An Artisan/Crafter is not just a crafter. A successful Artisan/Crafter is a businessman. You have to concentrate on more things than just harvesting and crafting. There's advertising, setting up supply lines, expanding, making product available on other markets (don't just keep it on your home planet, put it on other ones too), customer relations, expansion, planning...the list goes on.

If you just sample and grind, you're gonna be bored. Me, I'll spend time looking for consigners to carry my goods to another planet and put them on the bazaar there to sell. Cheaper than planet hopping, though I do that as well.

It's not the game's dimensions that are flat...it's yours.
