I've managed to master artisan by crafting a ridiculous amount of harvesters, but what do I do now...

I'm thinking of becominga shipwright...

Anyway, I was looking through the new things I can make and like the barc speeder repair kit requires astroid resources...How do you get those? I've heard of space harvesting but I don't know how or if I can do that. Someone told me that you have to have a mining ship and they said you have to be an ace pilot to get that..is this right??

Thanks for any help anyone can offer....

I'm in a similar boat, having achieved MA and looking to decide which elite profession to do. So I ground up to novice DE, giving that a shot, and novice WS as well. I'll probably pursue WS for a little longer to see how well I like it, and if they fix some of the problems in DE, maybe I'll go back there.

I'm just trying to dabble in a few different things to see what I enjoy. Another option might be to get part of several different elite skill trees, sort of a "journeyman" among related professions rather than mastering one or two. I'd be interested to hear what other folks have done or recommend, though...

You'll have to check on the pilot boards regarding the space mining.

In answer to the question "now what" - you can either do an elite crafting prof or be a crafter/combat dabbler. I made a good living for a long, long time being a crafter/combat dabbler. All I had was master artisan and some combat skills. I've changed that now, but you can definitely make a good living with only master artisan. Just sell powerups and swoops and you'll make a lot of money.

Most elite crafting professions, you'll want to be a master of. Dabbling in Shipwright or Droid Engineer won't do you much good.

Artisan itself, it depends on which one you're doing. Droid engineer needs a half dozen items (and a lot of them) that are produced by MAs, so it's probably a good choice. Shipwright, not so much. There's only one MA item, All Purpose Ship Repair Kit, that is even used on starships. SW don't need the repair kits at all, unless you're also a pilot.
