i am thinking of getting a fusion reactor to replace my 2 solar gens. do you have to palve fusion generators in sertain spots or can you put then anywhere, and if you do have t find % spots is it harder to find decent spots then it is to find solar % spots

They harvest Radioactives.

Find them with the mineral survey device.

Yes, you need to survey for radioactives to best locate a fusion. I recommend doing that in advance of buying one, since I have seen an entire planet devoid of them for several days. It was right after I built my first one too, and boy was I unhappy!

Fortunately, you can usually find radioactives in higher concentrations than you can find solar or wind. On a 70% spot, a good fusion can really haul in a lot! I have seen over 90%. But you might have to survey for a while, and put it in dangerous places, to get high rates like that.

Look at the stats on the radioactives as well. 900+ PE will almost double the amount of power you get per unit.Power factor=PE/500, but never less than 1. High OC radioactives are also usable as a mineral in schematics.

A good fusion will pay for itself in a few days, maint rates are the same a wind or solar for all that output. Be sure to check the BER before you buy, I think they can go as low as 9 or as high as 14.

You only take damage when you sample radioactives.

You can take wounds or damage. Some people say it depends on the class. I haven't seen a correlation myself.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

I've noticed that the higher the PE (the better the radioactives, essentially) the worse the wounds. There's some stuff on Scylla right now that can give you 400-500 wounds on all your bars from one sample operation.
