Where can I find a General Crafting tool? I'm on Naboo/theed side and i'm looking to do some crafting. I saw one in the bazaar for 300 credits but I'm wondering where they originate from. Are they all player made? can you buy them from vendors? thanks for your help.

You get it when you choose the Artisan proffesion. You will have to buy it if you learn the Artisan proffesion after the fact.

Yes, they're player made. And 300 is way too much to pay (I'm not surprised it was still there).

Does the higher effectiveness (or was it efficiency) crafting tools give you more EXP per craft?

if i were u i would just either get a special crafting tool (like clothing and armor crafting tool) or ask to borrow somone elses and make 1 for u

I sell mine for 1200 each. They are all of effectiveness 11 and up.

They sell fast, so I think my price is right.

300 is either too cheap, or the quality is poor.

No. I believe it just affects your critical failure rate.

I sell crafting tools for 500 credits- 14.94 functionality. I think that's a fair price; I've seen them for much more, but the margin is already pretty good at 500 credits, considering what goes into them.

300 creds too much to pay? Bah! Thats cheap. Wots that like one mission for a pure noob? I see specialist tools going for 3000creds all the time. Heck I even bought my first 14.91 tools for 3000 creds. It was cheaper than taking the shuttle to Corellia where I could find em for 2000 creds.

I agree that you should really just buy or borrow a specialist tool, that will let you experiment. Weapon/Droid/General is best. If your going to make stims get a Food/Chem. You can find low quality ones starting at around 500-600 going up from there...(server dependant of course).

Making crafting tools for sale is fairly lucrative, in fact speaking as a noob (only played 3 weeks) I can say that approximatly 80% of my sales come from Crafting tools...the rest from food. Even kinda bad quality ones say 6.0 to10.5 can be sold for 500-700 creds, 13.50 can be sold for about 1200-1500. This is of course due to the hologrinders, who like to by 5-8 tools at once butdon't feel like waiting. I even met a fella when I was inthe hospital healing folks that just wanted tools... I got 500cr each for 5 of em , they were -8.30 qual. In otherwords until the holo-grinding craze fadesyou should have a decent market. Just take a look at what theyre going for on your server then price accordingly.

A good crafting tool is a pretty hefty investment (or at least it was for me) but it will pay for itself rather quickly.
