I had a master scout , marksman, and artisan character. I now want to try BH, but want to keep my vender for selling loot and resources. If I have merchant 3 and place a vender in my house, and then give up the whole merchant tree, will my vender still be in my house or will it disapear? If not will i still be able to use it to sell item even though i dont have any artsan anymore?
plz help
i want to be a bh and other things but still run a vender is it possible?

You mean business 3 right? For now it will remain when you drop the skill.

As the above poster stated... it will remain and function, however I have read on other forums that they are trying to fix this since in theory, there is no reason to keep the business tree (or all of merchant for that matter), once you have placed the vendor. So for now it works, but that MIGHT change in the future.

The current skill a merchant gets is the hiring and placing vendors. Once hired there is no special skill in using them. Just pay the maintance. Now some people whine that this is a bug and exploit. It is neither. The game text even supports the condition that you have to be a Merchant (Business 3 and above) to
create the vendor. That is no different than having to be a Master Armorsmith to create cool armor. What may have been left out is a reason for keeping Merchant once the vendor is created. An armorsmith can sell more armor. A Merchant can NOT sell the vendor. So there are concept flaws that may be changed someday but there is no BUG that needs fixing. It works as designed. And it work as stated in the available in game text.
Now I stay Master Merchant because I do like the skills of moving a vendor, controlling what it says, reduced fees on a lot of things I own. But that is just me.
