What is the purpose of the dice and chance cubes you can make? i have been wondering this since i started playing and now that im going back down the artisan road it was just eating at me...so is there any real purpose to them or are they just for fun or show?

its just to roll them. In the radial menu select roll.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that some mysterious Gungan has cornered the market, snatching up all those failed noob-artisan auctions of chance-cubes on the bazaar just before they decay into oblivion.
