Thread: Fireworks Show Packages Not working?

Hi all,
I've made up some fireworks for the Unification Day celebrations, and combined them into Fireworks Show Packages.
Now I'm in Theed, wanting to set them off, and they don't seem to work.
I open my inventory, click on it, select launch, and nothing happens. I've tried multiple times, and still nothing.
I then tried to launch a single firework on it's own. I open my inventory, click on it, select launch. It disapears from my inventory, and then nothing happened.
I tried it with another single one, and this time it actually launched it, but trying to launch the package still doesn't work.
Help?

something similar happened to me in Dearic, i had a show package in my inventory along with some other fireworks, i was able to launch a single firework, but not the show package. so i launched all my single fireworks once they were gone i was able to launch the show package, try storing all you singles ina bag or container and they try to launch, if that dont work i have no idea my friend

This may seem a bit silly, but was it dark outside and were you looking up towards the sky while setting them off? I have made several fireworks packages in the past and many of them appeared not to work unless it was dark outside and I was looking in just the right direction. Also, some of the smaller fire works are difficult to see even when it is dark out.

Fireworks should work in the day. Only time they won't work should be when your indoors of course.

Yes, they should work during the day, but depending on the size of the firework, it can be very difficult to see unless it is dark out.

I had the same problem yesterday when trying to launch firework packages - I eventualy got them to work by disconecting and reconecting to the server then they appeared to work fine.

Crap, I figured out the workaround about 3 months ago and I can't remember how I got them to launch...
THERE IS a problem with them. So all the nighttime/daytime theories are out the window.
I THINK what I figured out is that you need to select the show in your inventory, the type /launch in the command line.
I will go check.
(this is assuming we all know how to load a show)

Ok I didnt get a chance to try it because I didnt want to waste any Shows, but this is what I think works...
Click on the show in your inventory, hold down for the radial menu, the PRESS the number corresponding to LAUNCH (I believe its 1.) on your keyboard, this should work.

I launched some fine earlier in Coronet. I have no clue, they are working fine for me.

I did some Shows today. First make sure the Fireworks shows are loaded with fireworks (I know, I know but I did try to set off empties my first try). I loaded 4 shows with 20 fireworks each then just kept clicking on them till they launched. I don't know if there is some kind of "Dud" code in effect but I did have some show rockets that just would just never launch. Happy Unification Day everybody

I eventually got them to work, but it was weird.
I logged out for a while, and then went back in again, and tried again. Still didn't work.
Single fireworks would work, except for the first one I tried which would disapear from my inventory but not actually do anything.
I gave the show package to a friend (and yes, there were fireworks loaded into the package) and she tried it and it didn't work. I then tried a different package and this time it worked. She tried the one she had again, and it still didn't work. Then she traded it back to me and I tried it again and it worked.

I'm having the same problem. Fireworks by themselves are working fine, but the show packages will not launch. I've tried the methods mentioned above and still no luck.

I used to have a fireworks shop around 6 months ago and this problem was really frustrating as I would have customers continually returning packages.
A couple of things that work are:
Always kneel before setting them off. Try to only have 1 package in inventory at a time. Drag package to top toolbar and click furiously. Get naked. Scream and throw a tantrum. Give up on fireworks as buggy and live happier ever after.
