Thread: Weapon PuP Question and Component pricing

I have checked the FAQs but can't seem to find an answer to this question.
I remember reading a thread a little while ago mentioning that PuP stats were totally random and I have noticed this in my crafting.
Now is this completely random regardless of resource quality or is it random types of PuP that is affected by resource quality.
If resource quality does matter for PuPs, what are the vital ones that I should be looking at?
Sorry for the n00bler type of question but I am having problems figuring htis one out.
My second question is, how much should I typically charge for a large order of 1000 units for Power Conditioners and Energy Distributors assuming my resource cost will be 2-3 cpu.

It varies from server to server and depends on your server's economy. On Ahazi with its rediculous amount of credits circulating, 10 cpu is often a good deal on bulk components and is a good starting price.

Thanks very much for the reply.
I priced an order at about 6.5 cpu and the person told me I was way too high.
I couldn't believe that on a server where resources normally sell for 2-3 cpus or more that I would be told I am too expensive. I may as well keep doing solo group missions on Dantooine and not even make components on order since 25-30K a mission is alot faster than wasting hours to set up such a order.
Can anyone give me on any hints on which qualities to look for in resources to get better results in my PuPs?

Your powerup resources have no effect on randomness. Your results aren't truly random, by the way. For example, if you craft a muzzle, there a few set ways how the stats will combine -- max dmg/min dmg, for example. Which combo you get is the random part. But when you craft a muzzle, you will always end up with one of these combos.

You'll need 980+ OQ on both the mineral and chemical resources to reach 32/33% on the primary stat and 16% on the secondary. You can fudge a bit on the chem OQ and have it be a bit lower, as it counts for only 40% of the schematic.
