You don't need a different harvester.
A mineral harvester will mine radioactive also.
A fusion just does it more efficiently.

Has anyone tried sampling radioactive post CU? I haven't done any surveying for quite some time so I hadn't thought of it until now. Does it instant incap you now? Or is that dependant on combat level?

I almost tried this evening, had never tried before. Any way I got a box warning me that I may not like the result, since I only had a few minutes and was at full health I didn't continue. So is it really an incap for sampling radioactive? Hmm, funny!!

not instantly.. hmm wait maybe if you are just level1 and got just the 1000+ starter health...
if not you can sample up to 2-4 times... then your health bar is soo black and you got so many wounds it will incap you...
either you can even try to get suicide with sampling for radio ((that was all pre-cu))
dunno if its still you get wounds or just now damage... but imo its RADIOACTIVE is think you are going to get wounds till your full health bar is nice black
