Thread: Maintance droids / Harvester mait / confused!!

Hey guys, a little confused on what the mait. droids do. Also heard someone mention something about mait money being pulled auto from your bank account.. does this happen auto or do you have to do something? If I put mait in the harvister, does it still auto pull money from my bank? Help please, I'm very confused..

hmmm. i dont really know much about mainenance droids.
You place money into maintanece pools of buildings/harvestors. When and if it runs out, the game automatically detracts some money from your bank and puts it in the pool. this lasts for only a day, and then it does it again.
i think mainanence droids reduce the amount of $$ you pay, but im not sure.

Actually, from what I've seen, they don't reduce the amount you pay. What happens is this:
You stand next to a harvester you have admin rights to and select "Assign droid". Your droid can hold the wps for up to 9 harvesters.
Once you've got them all saved in the droid, you can be anywhere, including off planet, and call your droid from your datapad. After going through the menu of which harvesters you want maintenence put into, your droid will run off and maintain your structures. It's not particularly useful for anybody that has structures on their own lots, but it's VERY helpful for anyone that's involved in a lot trade. The droids won't add power or turn harvesters back on if they've been shut down, but they do save the hassle of having to call your lot trader back to your server to fix a broken harvester or factory. Mine came with a storage module, so it acts as backup inventory space too.

You are correct. Maintenance droids were from before harvesters started to deduct from your bank account. They were to do what happens now automatically, but they had two bugs that made them mostly useless.
1) They could not put maintenace into a harvester with a default name.
2) If you re-deeded the harvester with out removing it from teh list in your droid, you may as well delete the droid and get a new one because it could never pay maintenance to any other structures again.
