I am on the server Wanderhome the planet of Talus. Yesterday I crafted a deed to a personal Mineral Extractor. I walk out of the city of dearic for about 10 min of game time. I tried to use the deed to the mineral extractor the game said I could not place the structure in this state and then the structure could not be built here. I walked around for about and hour trying to place this structure with no luck. What is the secret. Is the game bugged?

When you receive the message "Cannot place in your current state" it's because the game thinks you are still running. Stop, take a few deep breaths, then try to place.

Different cities have different No build zones. You have simply get farther away from some cities than others. I've heard on Corellia that Kor Vella build zone is like 2 kilometers out, whereas I've see other areas a mere 500 meters.

I place the deed in my hot bar and just crazy-click until I find the edge of the zone.

Oh, and here's a little tip that nobody tells you:

when in the top down mode for placing structures, you can rotate your structure by right clicking. Test it over a no-build area (yellow hash marks) to see how it works so you don't accidently place your structure.
