If I experiment on the components of an item, does it affect the final item?
I had heard that the only experimentation that matters is the experimentation on the final build.

I've tried to test it myself and gotten mixed results. Does anyone know for sure? Experimenting on the components adds a large amount of time to the process heh.

For example the stimpack B takes three components, and I can't tell if increasing the effectiveness of the components increases the effectiveness of the final stimpack. The percentages shown on the final build experiment seem to be the ones that determine the final outcome.

I honestly am unable to tell a difference. I do tailored items, the only thing it might (A BIG MIGHT) effect is socket count on clothes item. As far as I can tell from the description and such the components are just necessary pieces.

Hopefully this will change in the futureand be more like resource quality that directly affects how much experimentation, durablity, flavor, etc you can put points into.
