What are things like fiberplast and polymer that are neede for crafting? I don't see them on my survey list and I'm not sure how to find them. Any help would be appreciated.

Suprisingly enough....I have made and sold a ton of these things.
Thats becuase a lot of people ignore the artisan trees and just bee line up eng to get to weapon/armor/what ever. Saddly this means they are missing some of things they might find useful or needed. Also there are things under master artisan that are used in other items as optional sub componts that make the item over all better. But sadly few people seem to bother with mastering artisan in there rush to get to master something else.
Tailors need it in most everything they make and I think Architects use a bit of it too.
Problem is that recipes don't care about the fiberplast quality so any type will work in recipes. So it is VERY easy to come by ... most artisans that need it simply have a harvestor or two dedicated to Fiberplast since it is found in many places on every planet.
Now Titanium Aluminum or Thornium Steel ... that is a different thing!

Tailors and Artisans making clothes use it the most. The quality of fiberplast does have an effect on the Experimental Durability %, however clothing does not not decay so it doesn't really matter too much right now. I still try and find the best fiberplast I can. For clothing we look at three properties of the fiberplast. Decay Resistance is most important at 66%. Overall Quality and Unit Toughness are both rated at 16%.
For other professions using it in a chemical slot on a schematic they may require different properties to be high.
