Maybe I just haven't been doing this long enough to find some trick but, shouldn't we be alble to change the survey range in the survey window.

Having to click on the device to change the range is getting old.

Well, since you only have to set it once per tool when you get a new range increase - it's pretty trivial. On the other hand, since I haven't ever found a reason to survey at less than maximum range - they could just remove it all together and let the survey tool automatically scan at your highest range.

I believe that the lowest range actually has a slightly higher resolution than the largest range. I may be mistaken there, though. I certainly always drop to it to get as close to the optimal placement as possible.

i am not sure if you are asking or just making a statement...but to change the range you have to bring up the device in your inventory then click and hold on it for a few seconds(depending on lag)...the tool options will appear a little bit after the rest of the options appear....

though I think you already know that...

Yeah, what's the point of using the survey tool at a lower range?

And about the window, the same reflexion can stand for all the windows. Ok the radial menu is cool, but once you opened a window there should be tabs for each choice you had on the radial menu. So you don't have to close and reopen all the time. Specialy sad for personnal miners, go to status, close, go to pay maintenance, close, go back to status, I need more $, close, go to pay maintenance, close, go to status, close, go to operate, etc Hey you could do that in the same window no? I call this userfriendly...
