Creature Habitats are like Fireworks.

You can search Creature Lairs for Samples of Live creatures.

So far I have found -

• Sample of Live Bats


• Sample of Live Flies


• Sample of Live Bees

Lairs are not "One Chance" searches. You can search the same lair multiple times, after searching it, it takes about 5 minutes for it to reset and allow you the option to search it again. There is a chance you will not find anything on a search attempt but that does not mean it's "empty" forever. The next attempt should result in something.

It's actually pretty neat, if they can do something like this in a short amount of time, it is possible for future items to come out that create atmospheres for houses.

Please post if you find more Samples of other live creatures.

Was able to find the bats and the flies, but also was able to find some moths and butterflies as well. The moths were pretty plain, but the butterflies were quite well done, and very nice I'd say.

Will have to keep searching those lairs for even more, I wanna see the bees now, hehe =)

okay, all i see them as jars. and when i examine it, it says that an artisan can do something with it for displaying. How is this done? What type of artisan can use this jar (novice? Tailor? armorsmith? chef?) I have several jars of flies, bees, bats, moths, butterflies, and glowzees.

there is a new item, called a creature habitat, when you craft it one of the components, it the jar. Basically it looks like a locked contaner. Once it it crafted you clikc release and the stuff will stay around for about 10 seconds then disappear. I think it is stupid.

The bees are hard to see. at least it was for me.

Can you put it in a house as a decoration or anything? Otherwise it looks like a total waste of 20 metal and 10 chemical.

I think it has a lot of potential. Let's say you have an Enviromental EffectsContainer in your house. Every time someone walks into your house, it uses a Creature Habitat from the container. So you could set it so whena person enters your home they're surrounded by butterflies.

That's just with the current Creature Habitat system. If they expand it to include Mist effects or Lights, you could set up all kinds of great effects for a Cantina.

I got 2 eggs from a lair. Have stats like resources. Mmmmm, scrambled Worrt eggs.

To the person who thought it was a waste, if you can't enjoy anything that is fun in the game then think of it as a way to grind 60xp ya looser.

Looser eh? Anyways, you can't really grind it 'cause you need to go out and get the samples.

So all artisans should have this now? I have tons of these scavenged goods but no clue how to use them I'm a level 4 engineer so I can build stuff.

They should take the idea and make it into a fishtank or terrarium-type decoration for your house with little moving bugs.
