Thread: whats up with my vendor is this another but?
So I'm not the only one? Hmmm....
Well. I guess that makes three of us.
I've heard this is a bug on the first two vendors you get in business (the vending machine and the robobartender). I think the trick is to create it, drop it, then initialize it. No moving, and don't pay maintenance until it's initialized. If that doesn't do it, apparently destroying and recreating vendors until you get one that does work is the way to go.
If you've made it to Novice merchant, the NPC vendors you get starting at that skill do not have this problem. Although that might be because/move is an invalid command for those, so maybe that's the key...
I have the same problem, which bites since I can't quite spare the skill points for Novice Merchant.
I've tried it with the terminal vandor as well as teh robo-bartender, and no matter what order I pay maintenance and initialize, it always say it hasn't been initialized.
How is <KaranaKraft> supposed to make it big on Shadowfire without a vendor?
I saw another post on this and it worked for me.I was having the same problem. In a nutshell:
Place your vendor and pay maintenence.
Initialize
Go back to radial menu and intialize is still there. Keeping the mouse button pressed down move away from the menu and close it.
Go back to radial again and initialize is gone. Once again keeping the mouse button pressed slide it over to use and it should work.
After I place the vendor, rotate, etc. I select initialize from the radial. Then BEFORE anything else I select the radial again. Guess what, initialize is still an option. I initialize again. I've never had to do this more than once. The third time I check the radial initialize is no longer there. Only then do I pay maintenance, add product, etc.
I've moved or changed my 4 vendors at least 10 times in the last couple weeks. I've never had a problem by using this method.
