Maybe 10k at the most. I personally wouldn't pay anything. You need +10 total to get one more experimentation point.

The problem is there are no worthwhile items that require experimentation. Personal extractors and bone armor need it, but both of those items are trumped by elite items.

Artisans don't have anything worthwhile that requires experimentation. Vehicles have one line of experimentation so this tape won't help there.

You can max it up to 100% (assuming you have good enough materials) with 10 experiment points though.

I never run out of experimentation points on artisan items. If I were ever to score below 98% on something now that I've hit Master I'd probably commit seppuku or something.

Another item is food

I went up the chef line and artisan food is surprisingly (irritatingly) competitive. Unless a chef develops their experimentation line generally their artisan food beats their chef food, especially if they took Engineer

A Human would only need +5 for an extra experimentation point

Unfortunately they only have one useful line of experimentation. So 13 experimentation points will get you a 98 rated tool and 4 leftover points. You need something with multiple experimentation lines to make these kind of skilltapes truly valuable.

That would probably bring 200k on Bloodfin actually (**edit** inflated economy). Too bad you didn't post what server cause I'd buy it for that.
