When are the vehicles slotted for release? Can anyone give me a date? Also is there anyone I can buy a speeder from in advance? Also will terrain be a problem with some vehicles? I guess I think that mounts would be able to go some places where vehicles can't.

They will be released next week at some time. Small packets of data will be downloaded starting today but they will open the final patch next week. This is the same method that they used for the last patch.

From everything I have read mounts handle better than vehicles on extremely hilly terrain.

Log into Test center... they have free vehicle merchants. Vehicles speeds are like galloping mounts (and faster)... you outrun everything on them. But you cannot fight at all on a vehicle like you can a mount.

Vehicles are the ultimate point a to b transportation, but wont be good if you are out hunting (the vehicle doesn't follow you when you get out of it). I see that mounts will be used if you are out on a hunting party and vehicles will be used for non-shuttle transportation.
