Thread: Crustacean survey Schematic
Max I was able to experiment was 78% and had left over experiment points. I was using 994conductivityCopper and 660 conductivity Aluminum. This tool is another example of an item that has no specs on it when examined (Aaargg!).
I did a little testing and within a half hour I was able to harvest 100 units of Crustaceans (OQ 868) and 100 units of Mollusks (OQ 679) I'm going to try making one without any experimentation and see for myself if there is any difference.
Not sure why they would introduce a new tool when theres not much of a market for the resource. Possibly when they re-vamp Bio Engineer that will change.
I did enjoy the Quest, I thought they should have made it a bit tougher at the time. but I guess since the tool is virtually useless having to kill one bounty hunter and deliver a statue is about right.
One thing I found out while i was testing the tool is that fishing is working again. Caught 3 fish, now if I only had stairs so I could mount them on the wall of my house.
What do you mean, when they re-vamp Bio-Engineer? BE was revamped in Patch 5.
Further, the Anchorhead quest isn't the only place to get the schematic. You can also get the schematic from Ratik (?)Banai in Wayfar. He's the father of Kitster Banai, in Mos Espa, who gives you all the Anakin Skywalker loot.
Hmmm i read that somewhere they were doing a revamp musta been old news.

Only Bio-Engineers use mollusks, anyway. Don't bother doing factory runs of these things.
Further, experimentation doesn't seem to make a difference on the harvesting tools. I made one amazing tool, and one terrible tool (i.e. crappy materials and no experimentation), and saw no operational difference between the two.
They were supposed to be more BE schematics involving crustaceans and mollusks in conjunction with the enhanced Chef schematics (who were also to get those resources as part of new recipes), but it never happened.
So for Patch 6 we got......
(a) a great new schematic that allows folks to harvest useless resources
(b) vehicle painting kits that paint a vehicle nicely but wear off after 3 or so days, and
(c) the ability to make vehicles with 1500 HAM
Way to go SOE *woot woot woot*.
I'm a Master Artisan and I'm excited <yawn>
I've got a BE paying me 30+ cpu for Mollusks...and he's perfectly happypaying me to harvest for him...I'd say the tool is useful to me in that capacity. ![]()
The mollusks I was getting on Bloodfin had Flavor:950, OQ:920... They sell good... It's weird how they work, I was figuring they'd just work like sampling... Also sucks that when you collect some mollusks, it doesn't auto-merge with existsing mollusks in your inventory, you just have 2 items of '3 mollusks'.

Good-I did the anchorhead one months ago and can't do it anymore.
