Do you get exp for what they make? or are you out all the skill that you would of gotten for making those iteams?

This is debatable. According to some people you are supposed to get something like 10% of the normal XP. However, I have never gotten any XP from Artisan items, Droid items, or Food items. So, if you ask me I will say no, you get no XP whatsoever from using factories.

The consensus is no xp. I think the confusion lies in that it used to be the case that you would receive a percentage but this is no longer the case. I tested this not too long ago stood next to the factory for a couple of hours while it produced items and checking periodically whether my xp was updated at all. I also waited until the run was done to make sure the xp wasn't added on in one block at the end of the run.
